Overview of the Rotation Model Sunday School

The Rotation Model Sunday School is a new and exciting style of Sunday School. Kids study and experience the same Bible story/concept over several weeks in various formats (or workshops) such as drama and music, art, computer, storytelling and games, theater, and cooking by rotating to a different "workshop" each week.

Teachers do not rotate, but stay in one place, preparing one lesson (with some age-appropriate modifications) for the four to six week rotation. Consistency and relationship-building are provided by a team of Shepherds who remain with one class for an entire year.

Why should your church consider rotation?

  • increased enthusiasm in kids and adults
  • increased attendence
  • increased volunteer participation - to share their gifts and talents
  • allows teachers to teach in their area of expertise or enjoyment for a shorter time period
  • increased Bible skills and literacy
  • increased retention of Bible learning - through repetition and multiple learning styles
  • adaptable to churches of all sizes
  • because it is a SIN to bore children with the Bible
  • because it works!

"Go and make disciples of all nations. Baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And you can be sure I am always with you, to the very end." Matthew 28:19
